Hayden On The Hudson

Highview designed and installed a 16,500 square foot extensive green roof on an existing parking garage at the iconic Hayden on the Hudson condominiums in the Bronx. Extensive sedum mats grown on Long Island provided beautiful, instant plant coverage. Highview incorporated rows of Karl Foerster grasses in berms across the green roof to act as privacy screening for the different private terraces.  In addition to the green roof scope, Highview installed patio pavers on a pedestal system. At this scale, the green roof will absorb significant stormwater runoff, provide a habitat for local pollinators, help lower the ambient air temperature, and protect the roof membrane.
