Our team installed this 5,250 square foot extensive green roof and terrace area on an affordable housing building in the Inwood neighborhood of Manhattan. Funded by a Capital Improvement Federal Grant, the green roof provides outdoor space for residents to enjoy the beautiful views of upper Manhattan. Planters filled with climbing vines and trellises were installed across the width of the entire building to provide an aesthetic and functional separation to other areas of the roof. The extensive sedum green roof will reduce stormwater runoff, lower the building's heating and cooling costs, and create a habitat for local wildlife and pollinators.
